Offered here is a rare piece of memorabilia from Bobby Jones' playing days. This exceptional heavy cast iron door stop/ash tray is believed to have been produced in 1926 after Jones won the US Open and Open Championship in the same year. There were two sized made - a small and a large - with this being the large version. Both are exceedingly rare, as only a couple of each are known to exist. Almost all pieces of Jones memorabilia were produced after he won the Grand Slam in 1930, so this is a wonderful early example. Note the tousled hair on Jones, and the trophy engraved "American and British Champion." 12" tall x 6 1/2" deep. Very heavy.
