Offered here is one of Ben Hogan's personally used Prototypes for a Hogan Company 5 Iron. Long after Ben Hogan retired from competitive golf, he still insisted on personally testing prototype clubs for his namesake golf company. This is one such iron, a Prototype club from the Hogan company that is believed to have been used by the great Hogan himself. The head of this prototype club is complete blank, except for "Equalizer" on the sole. The shaft contains the original Hogan company shaft band, as well as a shaft band that says "Hogan Prototype."

Included with this club is an original photo purporting to show Ben Hogan testing this club (or, more likely, this group of clubs). Also included is the original tag affixed to this club with the initials "B.H." for Ben Hogan.
