The "Silver Scot" won three Major Championships in his career. For collectors, though, he is the subject of much frustration as few quality pieces of Tommy Armour memorabilia exist.

Offered here is the rare chance to own the great Tommy Armour's personal 1 iron. This Tommy Armour brand club with Reg #948 was owned by PGA Professional Bob Schappa, who worked under Armour in Southern Pines, NC is the late 1950s to 60s. Armour gave the club to Schappa. Fortunately (for our sake), as Schappa explains in his 1989 letter, the club was too long for him so Schappa never personally used it after he received it from Armour. Schappa also explains the significance of the #948 irons, which were reserved for special replacements for Tommy Armour himself.

This original Tommy Armour used 1 iron is in excellent condition.
