Robert Forgan long spoon, circa 1863. The long and graceful Philp-like head bears the early large letter R. Forgan stamp. Most impressively, the club contains the commemorative stamp declaring R. Forgan of St. Andrews as Club maker to his Highness the Prince of Wales. This rare stamp is believed to have only been used by Forgan for one year. The head retains a natural resin varnish finish, darkened over time like antique furniture or old violins. Ancient hand made screws secure the Rams horn. 43 3/4".
