William Rudolf O’Donovan (1844-1920) served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War, and then moved to New York to open his art gallery. Offered here are two original 1916 gouache paintings of St. Andrews Golf Club in New York. These paintings are signed and dated by O’Donovan. 12” x 9” in a gold gilt period frame to an overall size of 12 1/2" x 15 1/2". One of the paintings has a small tear in the canvas, which can be repaired.
