BGI (Bridgeport Gun & Implement Co.) maintains an important place in American golf history, as they represent a good portion of early clubmaking in the States. BGI produced from 1896 to 1904 in its Bridgeport, Connecticut plant, though most pre-1899 clubs were actually imported or made by Spalding.
The offered club is one of the finest that BGI produced. This is a high grade circa 1899-1901 spliced neck putter with the "Arrow-BGI-Arrow mark." #96 on heel.
