Offered here is an ornate 1898 Musselburgh Silver Ink Well Set by Martin Hall & Co. This silver plated set is beautifully inscribed with the club and winner's (John Macpherson) name. 9" x 5" not including feet. Original glass inkwells included. The inkwell covers open up and slide back under the bottom of the inkwell - an ingenius design so that the covers don't get lost. This piece weight 2 pounds, 2 ounces. Excellent condition other than a small area of plating rubbed through in the back and a slight bend to the metal that attaches to the back-right foot. Anything related to pre-1900 Musselburgh is extremely rare.
