In 1923, Pennsylvania investment banker (and Pine Valley Golf Club member) Max Marston won the US Amateur. His run through the field at the 1923 US Amateur was one of the most impressive in history; he defeated Bobby Jones, Francis Ouimet, and Jess Sweetser.
Upon his victory, this sterling silver was awarded to Max Marston by his fellow members at Pine Valley Golf Club. 10 1/2" and produced by Gorham.
