Augusta National has long provided its patrons with complementary Spectator's Guides, complete with course information and tournament history.  These "Spec Guides" have long been a hit with collectors, with earlier examples very difficult to come by.

Presented here is the single most desirable Masters Spectator Guide in existence. This is what is believed to be the first Masters Spectator Guide ever produced. Augusta National Golf Club tried something new for the 1949 Masters Tournament - they provided patrons with this Spectator Guide free of charge.  And that wasn't the only innovation at the 1949 Masters Tournament; the 1949 Masters is also famous for being the first time a Green Jacket was ever awarded to the winner of the tournament, with Sam Snead taking home the first Green Jacket.  Very few 1949 Masters Spec Guides are known to still exist.  If you miss out on purchasing this one, it is impossible to say when we'll have the good fortune to locate another one again.
