The 2 great amateurs, Bobby Jones and Chick Evans, met in the finals of the 1927 US Amateur at Minikahda Club in Minnesota. Though they acted cordial to each other, there was apparently no love lost between the two Champions. At the 1927 US Amateur, Bobby Jones would prove triumphant and drub Evans in their final match by the score of 8 & 7.
