What an extraordinary find! This is a circa 1900 copper tooled sculpture of legendary golfer Freddie Tait. This extremely high quality copper sculpture depicts Tait on the follow-through of one of his legendarily prodigious drives. Tait won the 1896 and 1898 British Amateur before dying at the age of 30 during the Second Boer War.
Copper sculpture is 5 1/2" x 9 1/4". It has been professionally shadowbox framed to an overall size of 13 1/2" x 17".
