Offered here is a scarce 1940 Jennings "Golfa Rola" upright golf ball slot machine. We knew that this tall, upright golf ball slot machine was produced by Jennings, but were unsure whether an original example had survived. We now know that not only does one exist, but one that is in high grade condition and is 100% original. The embossed glass front has somehow survived the past 78 years. The internal mechanism is in exceptional condition and still works. Even the paper inserts are original.

A review of arcade-museum.com's database does not indicate a single known example of this slot machine in its extensive database of vintage arcade games. This is surely due to the fact that very few full size upright machines were produced. But also because slot machines like this were essentially declared gambling devices in 1941 - just a year after the Golfa Rola went into production. At that time, production of new machines would've not only stopped, but existing machines were often required to be destroyed.

Golfa Rola by O.D. Jennings, circa 1940. 60" tall x 22" deep x 20" wide.

The photos of this machine simply do not do it justice. In order to prevent this machine from an additional move, we only have cell phone photographs to post. Expect shipping rates to be between $250-$450 or more for domestic shipping, and much more for international. The slot machine is currently in Massachusetts.

**Update**  During this auction, our client spent $1,000 having this machine completely shopped, cleaned, greased, etc. It's hard to put into words the quality of this nearly-80 year old slot machine.
