Offered here is one of Tiger Woods' actual Scotty Cameron putters from approximately 1998.
Technically confirmed by Scotty Cameron as a Tiger Woods "backup" putter, it is believed that this putter was used by Tiger, and possibly put into play (though no victories were notched with it).
A bit of background information. Tiger Woods famously used a Scotty Cameron TeI3 putter to win the 1997 Masters Tournament. That putter had a black oxide finish. Then in the 1999, Tiger began using the now-iconic Scotty Cameron with the red dot and red letters. But in between, Tiger Woods experimented with this TeI3 (like his '97 Masters putter) but with a Pro Platinum finish. This style of putter did not last long in Tiger's bag, either because he wasn't happy with it, or (as some have speculated) because it was too similar to the putter that Scotty made for Vijay Singh. Either way, Tiger moved on from this putter and found the red dot putter that would win him 13 Major Championships over the following decade.
This putter comes with a certificate of authenticity from Scotty Cameron, who describes it as "Made for Tiger Woods." The putter also comes with a letter of authenticity on Scotty Cameron's own letterhead, which states "This putter was made as a backup for Tiger Woods."
**UPDATE #1** We have added 2 photos of Scotty Cameron holding this exact putter.
**UPDATE #2** Also included with this putter is a prototype Pro Platinum Plus headcover with hand drawn red circle T. This headcover is also autographed by Scotty Cameron.
