This is a rare early 1900s Gerz Stoneware Whisky Jug with original stopper. This jug is in beautiful condition. No cracks or repairs to the jug itself.  The stopper, however, is broken and missing about 1/3 of the rim.  It also lacks the cork around the plug. It still displays without showing stopper damage or it could easily be fixed by an experience stoneware maker or restoration person. An unusual color a most of these were made in shades of blue or dark gray.  Made by Simon Peter Gerz, with golf scene in relief and saltglazed. Marked 021.
