Bobby Jones was well-known for lending his hand (and his clubs) to aid the War Effort. Even between the wars, Americans faced another crises in the Great Depression, but Bobby Jones found a way to help again. In 1932, a golf tournament was held at various golf courses around the country to raise money for those left unemployed by the Great Depression. This is one of those rare Bobby Jones medals from the tournament. It's a striking-looking medal for the era - with the image of Bobby Jones and his facsimile "Robt. T. Jones, Jr." signature underneath.
1 1/2" x 1" sterling silver medal with 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" red, white, and blue ribbon. Produced by Dieges & Clust, as marked on reverse.
