Offered here is Vic Ghezzi's personal putter - given by Ghezzi to World Golf Hall of Famer Roberto De Vicenzo with the story that it was used by Ghezzi to win the 1941 PGA Championship. 

As Roberto recounted the story, Vic was lurking around Roberto's bag and asked to use his putter to practice. He liked it so much that he "stole" Roberto's putter and Vic replaced it in Roberto's bag with his own putter. According to De Vicenzo, Ghezzi then told Roberto that it was the very putter that he used to win the 1941 PGA Championship.  

Due to World War II, 1941 PGA Championship was the last full-field PGA until after the war. How stacked was that tournament? 7 of the 8 quarterfinalists would win a Major Championship in their career. Then decided by Match Play, Vic Ghezzi took 38 holes to defeat Byron Nelson to claim his only Major Championship.  

This putter was Vic Ghezzi's putter for many years, so numerous photos and videos of it exist. We've included here a couple photographs of Ghezzi with the easily-identifiable putter (and others can be found with a simple Google search).  

The putter is a Horton Smith model blade with a pistol grip and pyratone shaft. 35". This putter comes from the personal collection of World Golf Hall of Famer Roberto De Vicenzo.
