Offered here is an exceptional 1930 letter from Bobby Jones (on his law firm letterhead) thanking a friend (the American Minister to Bulgaria) for congratulating him on capturing the Grand Slam. Bobby Jones' humbleness shines through in this letter. He had just received a ticker tape parade in his honor in Manhattan; every newspaper in the country celebrated his Grand Slam with front page headlines; and he recently returned to Atlanta to a hero's welcome. Yet Bobby Jones expresses surprise that his friend was thinking about him and following the tournament from so far away. And regarding his 4th straight Major Championship victory at the 1930 US Amateur at famed Merion Golf Club - Bobby Jones simply refers to "after the Tournament in Philadelphia." It doesn't get much more humble than that!

This exceptional letter is professionally framed to 19" x 25". Accompanying this historic letter is an original circa 1930 photograph of Bobby Jones and OB Keeler with the Major Championship trophies. This photo alone has fetched upwards of $3,000 at auction.
