This portable wooded viewing seat from the 1930s is titled "United States Golf Champions" and provided solid seating in an instant. The seat's one side features the impressed facsimile signatures of Walter Hagen and Olin Dutra while the other side pictures the two golf champions in portrait.

Olin Dutra won the US Open in 1934, and the practice of the day was for the reigning Champ to do an exhibition tour to cash in on their fame. Who better to pair up with than Walter Hagen, the ultimate showman? These seats were sold at these exhibitions, with some of the money going to the golfers. The USGA Museum has one of these seats in their Walter Hagen exhibit. The device, which comes with a simple locking mechanism to ensure stability, exhibits moderate wear and is in excellent condition. The seat measures 29 1/2" tall and 11" wide.
