Offered here is an original circa 1870s-1880s Old Tom Morris machine cut gutta percha golf ball.  

Old Tom Morris famously left the employ of Allan Robertson in the early 1850s when a disagreement erupted between the two over Old Tom's use of the new gutta percha golf ball. That disagreement led to Old Tom setting up his own shop, and selling clubs and golf balls stamped with the "T. Morris" name for the first time. 

This is one of those Tom Morris gutta percha golf balls produced in Old Tom's own shop where he or an apprentice produced this ball. The ball is in good overall condition, and contains an exceptionally bold "Morris" stamp (the "T" is not really visible). Seriously, the "Morris" stamp can be viewed from 10 feet away, which is highly unusual for a line cut ball. The size "27" stamp is also strong.
