Offered here is a rare actual Steward's Badge and Ribbon from the 1937 Ryder Cup. The '37 Ryder Cup was held at Southport & Ainsdale in England. This was the 6th staging of the Ryder Cup, and for the first time the host country lost. The American Team led by Walter Hagen won 8 to 4. The United States Team was among the greatest ever assembled. 9 of the 10 players are Major Championship winners, including Horton Smith, Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, and Byron Nelson.

This is the first we've badge we're ever seen like this from a very early Ryder Cup. 2 3/4" round, 4 5/8" long.  faded. Early Ryder Cup items such as this rarely surface.

When we obtained it, this original badge was affixed to the 1937 Ryder Cup blazer being offered in Lot 202. But we've decided to offer them in separate lots.
