Lot Description  

Sterling silver 1915 hallmarked cigarette case from the now-defunct Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club in Illinois. Included in this lot is the trophy cigarette case (3 1/2" x 3") awarded to Richard Hosford for a best ball 4 ball tournament. Ornate design on front. Also included in this lot is a vintage celluloid caddie badge (2") and 3 circa 1907-1910s post cards from Rock Island. Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club was built in 1897 and was permanently closed recently. It was the 2nd oldest course in Illinois behind Chicago Golf Club.
