And here is is - the Holy Grail of signed golf photographs - an original signed photo of Old Tom Morris.

This large 10x14 image is the iconic "Bunker Photo" of Old Tom, which was taken by photographer James Patrick of Edinburgh. The photo is usually attributed to 1897, though some claim it was taken on Old Tom's 75th birthday in June 1896. Either way, it is quite possibly the most iconic image of Old Tom Morris that exists, with even unsigned examples fetching thousands of dollars (See our Summer 2011 Auction, Lot 290, Final Price: $2,190). But the photo offered here isn't a rare unsigned early Tom Morris photograph, but one of the few known autographed photos of the grandfather of golf, Old Tom Morris. Morris added the notation "1907" - the date Morris added his autograph to this photo.  Framed to an overall size of 20" x 24".
