Lot Description  

Offered here is a rare contestant badge from the 1985 Walker Cup at Pine Valley. The '85 Walker Cup is famously only of the only times the golfing public has seen famed Pine Valley Golf Club. Only 20 golfers participated in the 1985 Walker Cup, which means only 20 of these contestant badges were ever produced. This contestant badge was issued to 1985 British Amateur Champ Garth McGimpsey. McGimpsey scored 1.5 points for the GB & Ireland squad.
