Offered here is Sam Snead's gold medal from winning the 1952 Masters Tournament. At the 1952 Masters, defending Champ Ben Hogan famously hosted the inaugural Champions Dinner. Sam Snead and Ben Hogan were tied for the lead after 3 rounds. But in difficult playing conditions on Sunday, Snead's 72 left him 4 strokes clear of the field for a decisive victory. 

For many years, collectors valued Masters Trophies and Masters Gold Medals at approximately the same value - with trophies perhaps commanding a 20%-30% premium over the medals. Well, in recent years, trophies have shot up in values with intense bidding activity. The past 2 Masters Trophies to reach auction have sold for nearly $500,000 each. Gold Medals from Major Championships have been left in the dust, and seem downright affordable by comparison. Because of this, we are extremely bullish on the potential investment value of high end golf medals like the offered example.
