Offered here is a rare pre-Titleist Scotty Cameron Classic 6 prototype putter. It is well-known that Scotty Cameron produced a limited number of Classic 6 putters in 2 different styles with "Prototype" stamped on the sole along with the production run details. This is NOT one of those putters, however. This is a scarce early prototype putter with absolutely no stamping other than Scotty Cameron's name on the face.
According to 2001 book The Art of Putters: The Scotty Cameron Story by Bill Vogeney and David Levine, this style was most popular in Japan since Jumbo Ozaki used a similar head shaped MacGregor IMG5 for most of his career. This putter is 100% original, unused, with its original green "Scotty Cameron Milled Putters" headcover. 35".
