Offered here is a circa 1903 Slazenger & Son center-shafted triangular head putter. Incredible aluminum triangle head with deep cross-hatched face markings. According to Jeff Ellis, "It must have been a short lived sensation as there are only five other known examples." Very good condition.
This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and was featured in his books, The Golf Club (p. 82) and The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 137; TCA 2, p. 232). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
