Offered here is a circa 1900 Robert Condie Toe-Weighted Driving Iron. The smooth face iron was designed with a bulbous area at the end of the toe. According to Jeff Ellis, "This is the only known example of Condie's  toe weighted driving iron." Very good condition. 

This clubs originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his book The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 2, p. 570). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
