Offered here is a circa 1925 Lewis Scott Patent "Stream-Line Spoon." According to Jeff Ellis in The Clubmaker's Art, the objective of this invention was to provide a metal headed club with a very large striking face and yet keep the weight own to practical limits. To achieve this, Lewis Scott "designed a hollow metal head which had the front and back connected and strengthened by a brace." Overall very good condition.
This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his book The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 2, p. 350). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
