The 1927 Southern Open was reportedly one of Bobby Jones' favorite victories of his storied career. The 1927 Southern Open was held at Bobby Jones' home course East Lake. Jones shot a 63 in the practice round, which had the spectators and fellow competitors buzzing. Then he followed it up with an 8 stroke victory in the tournament.
