Most golf collectors are well aware of Wedgwood, which has been making golf trophies for many years. Offered in this lot is an entire St Andrews collection that never ended up being mass produced. In the 1990s, the Royal & Ancient teamed up with Wedgwood to produce this prototype of a collection that was intended to be sold in the Japanese market. Due to various reasons, this collection never ended up being produced, making these prototypes all 1/1 - to our knowledge the only such examples that exist in the world.
