One-piece golf clubs were produced for a very brief period of time in the mid to late 1890s, and had completely fizzled out by 1904. Though a few manufacturers tried their hands at one-piece clubs, the most collectible examples are those marked either “Dunn” or “The Spalding”.
Offered here is a fine example of “The Spalding” one-piece driver. One-piece clubs are naturally condition sensitive. The club is in Good to Very Good condition, with a leather insert on its face and a brass sole. “The Spalding” stamp is easily readable on the top of the head.
