Offered here is a circa 1924 Tyler Patent combination wood. According to The Clubmaker's Art, Tyler's intent in making his woods was to mimic the way irons were weighted so that his woods could play as easily as irons. The club was advertised as "guaranteed the straightest and longest driving club in the world." Overall excellent condition with some marks and wear. Combination aluminum sole integrated with an aluminum neck extending in line with the shaft, and a fancy face composite head. Stamped with the patent dates on the crown of the head.
