Offered here is a Lewis Anderson Patent (Applied For) "Cork Center" putter by Spalding. This putter has a hollow brass head filled with a cork insert. What stands out about this unique putter is that the cork is not just a face insert; rather, it fills up the entire inside of the head and is visible on the reverse of the club too. According to The Clubmaker's Art, "the public perceived it as a gimmick and it was not popular and therefore very rare to find today." Back in 2007 at the Jeff Ellis Sotheby's Auction, another example of this rare club sold for $3,250.
