Offered here is a photograph of the great Bobby Jones as he returns to the U.S. aboard the ocean liner SS Europa. Bobby Jones returned from Germany where he attended the 1936 Olympic Games. The 1936 Olympics Games were arguably the most controversial in history, as they were hosted by Adolf Hitler in an attempt to show Germany's dominance. Bobby Jones got to witness the star of the 1936 Olympics (much to Hitler's chagrin), American Jess Owens, and his record 4 gold medals.
