The back of the blade is stamped "Niblick" with Tom Stewart's makers stamp in an oval and the 36" shaft is stamped "Carl N. Bruns" on the shaft in script, Bruns likely shafted and sold the head.
Giant niblicks come in a range of sizes, with faces that typically measure between 3 1/4" and 3 7/8" tall. The face on this example is on the smaller side, at 3 1/4" tall, and is sometimes referred to as a "junior giant." Even so, it is about as deep as Stewart made according to Ralph Livingston's book on Tom Stewart Jr. pages 177-179.
The 36" shaft and beautiful red calfskin grip are original. The ball is shown for perspective and is not part of this lot.
