Offered here is a pre-Titleist gem, a Scotty Cameron Scottsman 942 in rare COPPER PLATING.
Vog says: I've been collecting Cameron putters since 1992, so I've seen a lot of putters. In the mid-2000's, 3 or 4 copper plated Scottsman putters hit the re-sale market. Before Scotty joined Titleist, he did a limited edition Classic 1, 6 and X in copper plating. When I was working on my book on Scotty, he never mentioned doing a few of these Scottsman models in copper. I was so convinced when these first hit the market that the copper plating was not authentic, a "bumper job" as Scotty would call aftermarket plating. Since these 3 or 4 putters hit the market (1 each of the 941, 942 and 944 as I recall) I have not seen another, and this appears to be the 942 I saw then. And it's been authenticated by the Cameron studio!
In all original condition, 35" long, with correct original grip, includes a green Art of Putting headcover to match the green paintfill.
Certificate of Authenticity from Scotty Cameron
