Offered here is arguably one of the putters that help build Scottymania, the 1997 Scotty Cameron Newport teryllium "sole stamp."

Vog says: This was the exact model that Tiger used to win the 1997 Masters, having put it in his bag before the start of the 97 PGA Tour season; in fact, all 4 of Tiger's wins that year were with the Newport Teryllium. As a little history lesson about how Scotty built his career, Langer's victory at the 1993 Masters really only affected the the avid putter collector-they're about the only people who knew who Scotty Cameron was at the time. When Scotty signed with Titleist his putters became more obtainable and more people learned who he was-but he still wasn't "big time." Tiger won the US Amateur in 1996 with a Newport Pro Platinum prototype, and the 960 commemorative putters certainly created a lot of buzz in the collector community. However it was Tiger's victory with the Newport teryllium at The Masters in 1997 that really launched Scottymania. Suddenly EVERYONE, collectors and just avid golfers, wanted the putter he used. Except only about 3,000 sole stamp Newports were made. That number is not publicly available today, but I was collecting in 1997 and that was the number I heard back then.

Condition is used, 8.5 out of 10 but with few or no visible nicks and only slight discoloring of the finish on the sole, in all original condition and 35" length. Original grip and studio style headcover.
