Here it is - the elusive Tiger Woods autographed Upper Deck rookie card.
Tiger Woods does not sign his rookie card. Let us repeat, Tiger does NOT sign his rookie card. Tiger Woods' 2001 Upper Deck rookie card exists in extraordinary quantities; it is one of the most-produced sports cards in history. Over 40,400 cards have been graded by PSA. Of those 40,400 Tiger Woods Upper Deck rookie cards, how many of those are PSA certified as autographed by Tiger Woods?....
Only eight. Yes, 8 of 40,400...
Offered here is one of the finest Tiger Woods autographed Upper Deck rookie cards in existence. In addition to those eight in the PSA Population Report (it should be noted that one of those 8 cards is personalized "To Brandon"), in 2002 Tiger also signed 18 cards for what's called "buyback" program. That's it. Tiger has never even signed any for his longtime autograph partner Upper Deck Authenticated.
Unless Tiger changes course and decides to suddenly autograph a bunch of his rookie cards (something he has refused to do for over 2 decades), the offered card will almost certainly become one of the most valuable golf cards in the golf collecting industry. As an example, last year Christie's sold a Michael Jordan autographed rookie card for over $1 million - even though PSA listed 65 autographed examples in the Pop Report.
The golf collecting industry admittedly lags years behind other sports. We are firm believers that this presents numerous buying opportunities within the golf space, including the offered card.
