Vog says: In the mid-2000's, Scotty had the idea for the patchwork cover. If I recall correctly, he took several different covers, tore them up, and sat down at the family sewing machine and prototyped the first patchwork. Since then, when we least expect it, the Gallery here in the US or the M&G in Japan release a VERY limited number of patchwork covers. Arguably, the patchworks are the most coveted of Cameron covers due to their rarity, "fun factor", and one-of-a-kind designs. There are truly no duplicate designs. Serious headcover collectors will work for years, working their network of friends and fellow collectors to find the right cover - or complete what you might call a "matched" set where each cover has one of the same headcover panel. This is from one of the first batches of patchwork covers and is rarely seen in the bag!
