At Tiger Woods 2001 Charity event called Tiger Jam, the best auction prize was private airfare to Florida to play a round of golf with Tiger Woods. To entice the potential bidders even further, Warren Buffett said that he would caddie for the round of golf. The winning bidder paid $650,000. True to his word, when the winning bidder flew to Florida the following month to play Tiger at his home course of Isleworth, Warren Buffett was there in a full caddie jumpsuit. Buffett joined the group as caddie for the round, but famously played the 18th hole against Tiger for $5. But there was one condition - Tiger had to play from the tips...and from his knees. Tiger easily won the bet, and when Warren Buffett handed over the $5, his quipped "Now remember, a caddie gets 10% of your winnings, so give me 50 cents back."
Offered here is an original photograph from that famous round of golf. To this day, Warren Buffett has still only played that single hole of golf with Tiger.
This photograph is autographed by Warren Buffett. It comes with an original folder from the Tiger Jam charity, and has a 2001 Letter of Authenticity and provenance from the Tiger Woods Foundation. 8 3/8" x 10 7/8".
