The clubheads of these MacGregor Chieftains have theire original hickory shafts and all of their original ivory and other components. As MacGregor explains in a 1930 catalog, all the white crown and face inserts and backweights on these heads are ivory. Only the red, green, and black colored "pins" found on the face, crown, and backweight are Yardsmore inlays. The leather grips are also original.  The neck whipping has been replaced and the finish has been discreetly freshened up including gold paint fill in the original lettering. The brassie is nearly as long as the 43 1/2" driver.  The spoon, however, is distinctly shorter as can be seen in the full length image of the clubs.

Overall, the large amount of ivory used in these clubs places them in their own world.  A great set of the highly desired fancy face clubs from the late 1920s.
