Made by MacGregor between 1952 and 1955, the winged MT M85W Eye-O-Matic Oil Hardened woods were quickly embraced and remain so as one of the best clubhead designs of all classic woods ever produced. These heads were designed for the best players in the world and some of the best Tour players in the world continued to used them for decades. Many modern club designs have been based in the design used for the M85 Eye-O-Matic. 

The set offered here is still in its original "dark rich mahogany glaze" and the neck numbers and sole stamps remain on all the heads.  The white/black/white six-screw fiber inserts are original as are the True Temper medium-firm shafts and leather wrap grips.  Light wear to the finish on some of the heads, with no visible neck cracks.  Overall this is a great set, made when golf clubs were crafted, not cast.  The driver measures the standard 43 inches.
