In its long, storied history, The 1968 Masters Tournament was one of the most controversial, and historic. Instead of a playoff between Bob Goalby and Roberto De Vicenzo to determine the winner, De Vicenzo infamously signed an incorrect scorecard – thereby incurring a penalty and losing his shot at the Green Jacket.
Offered here is the iconic Sports Illustrated magazine following the 1968 Masters Tournament. Despite the fact that both DeVicenzo and Goalby have long avoided publicity related to that crazy finish to the ’68 Masters, this magazine has been autographed by both De Vicenzo and Goalby - a very rare occurrence.
Good condition with very nice autographs. The cover is taped to keep it attached to the rest of the magazine.
