This is a rare original circa 1931 photograph of Augusta National Golf Club's iconic clubhouse and "The Big Oak Tree." A much more raw image than we're used to seeing of the towering tree and surrounds. This image was taken around the time Augusta National's Grand Opening on January 13, 1933. Note the well-dressed man and women in formal coats walking towards the clubhouse - perhaps some sort of dinner or event celebrating the Grand Opening of ANGC.

A wonderful artistic image of Augusta National opening its doors for the first time. 8" x 10". PSA Type 1.

This photograph is from the personal collection of Wendell P. Miller, who was the Chief Engineer and Construction Manager for the construction Augusta National's golf course. Accompanying this photograph is a letter of provenance from Wendell P. Miller's son, Wendell S. Miller.
