According to our resident Cameron expert, Bill "Vog" Vogeney, this is one of his favorite versions of the Newport 2. It represents Scotty's return to several desired design aspects of the classic Newport 2, the "tri-sole" and a lower toe profile as opposed to Scotty's higher toe design that was introduced on the Cami Co Newport 2 GSS head in 2005. Vog also says that Scotty slimmed down this model in general which allowed him to use much heavier weights in the heel and toe, increasing MOI.
