According to Bill "Vog" Vogeney our resident Scotty Cameron putter expert, this putter has Scotty's prototype "Knucklehead" with section of shaft coming out of the head, an aluminum "knuckle" and then a straight shaft. According to Vog, the knucklehead was designed to allow a plumber's neck style setup on a head that was typically designed as a shaft into head setup. Welding a standard plumber's neck to this head would add too much weight-closer to 20 grams, while the aluminum knuckle added just 5 grams.
