This is the actual December 1996 Sports Illustrated for Kids Magazine that contains the most famous SI for Kids card of them all - the Tiger Woods Rookie Card. Tiger had recently turned pro in 1996, and this was the very first card to feature the legendary golfer. This Tiger rookie card is still inside the magazine just waiting for the next owner to carefully pull its perforated edges to send to PSA or BGS for grading. 

A BGS 10 graded example of Tiger's rookie card previously sold for $55,000, a PSA 10 sold for $41,500, and it is speculated that a Black Label BGS 10 would sell for upwards of $1 million next time it hits the auction block.

Offered here is one of the highest-ever graded issues of that 1996 Sports Illustrated #12 containing the Tiger Woods Rookie card inside. This high grade CGC 9.4 grade is a Pop 2 in CGC's Census, with only a single issue ever grading higher. This copy even still contains the advertising piece that originally came over the magazine's actual cover.
