For years, Augusta National has commissioned a limited number of commemorative putters for the tournament; offered here is an example of one of those putters. Exact year of production is unknown as the year does not appear on the original box, headcover or certificate of authenticity. Numbered 626 of 750 made.
Our resident Scotty Cameron putter expert, Bill Vogeney, says that for years it was rumored that Scotty Cameron made these putters. In fact, one year in the late 1990's he attended a practice round and bought 20 of the putter that year, reselling them afterwards to fund the purchase of a Cameron tour putter he had his eye on. He advised that Scotty did not make these putters, that Augusta never disclosed who made them, but they typically were a popular design at the time. Based on this head style, similar to the Cameron studio style 1.5 slantneck, he guesses this was made in the early 2000's.
Includes original box, headcover, and COA.
