Offered here is a rare Copper plated Scotty Cameron Newport Tour Cameron with welded 1.5 neck made for Fulton Allem (F.A.).

Vog says: I sound like a broken record-it's another of the putters from the "deep South" collection. I've seen a total of two copper plated Tour Camerons like this-and we sold the other one last summer. Fulton Allem is a retired, 3-time winner on the PGA Tour. "Fulty" had some specific needs with his putters; I have a pre-Titleist Classic I (Newport) with welded 1.5 neck made for him-just like this one. My putter has a sole that Scotty spent time grinding and shaping with extra radius to the leading and trailing edge, and also added some radius from heel to toe, making the sole more rounded. Just like this putter. Scotty ground this sole, likely while on tour on the fly, to get it more to Fulty's specs-and then wrote FULTY on the sole in red Sharpie. Fulton, being from South Africa, was challenged by two things: 1. Bright sunshine (thus the copper finish which would turn and develop a patina quickly) and 2. Very grainy Bermuda on the greens. Thus the extra shaping on the sole. This is a great example of the lengths Scotty went through to get putters in play on the PGA Tour!

Length is 33.5", with an old, brushed satin finished Bullseye shaft with Golf Pride grip and black flag cover. We will provide a copy of the letter from the former distributor to our consignor, to the successful bidder, detailing this putter as made for Fulton Allem and how Scotty ground the sole to the player's specs. It's a great addition to the provenance written (literally) all over this putter. This will be in addition to a new COA.
