Offered here is a serious piece of Scotty Cameron history. A 1997 Newport Beach Tour made for Ernie Els.  "T" stamp on heel, "Els" stamped on the toe.

Vog says: This is perhaps the putter I am most excited about from the "Deep South" collection. As we know, the studio has been hesitant to list the player's name on a COA when a putter has tour initials. This one-well, "Els" can't be anyone other than Ernie-and the studio listed Els' name on the new COA! The 1997 Newport Beach for me is one of those milestone putters in Scotty's career. 100 made in 1997 with his experimental Oil Can finish-designed to oxidize and quickly look like the old Ping Anser many players used at the time. Scotty made sure the right players got these-this made for Ernie, I have one for Fred Couples, I know he made one for Larry Mize, and I would guess there were at least 15-20 well known names who received one. He knew those old Ping Anser putters were his competition. He knew his construction-100% milled carbon steel-was superior, but tour players can be very exacting. The Newport Beach was his best effort to date to win over the best players in the world.

Take a close look at the face-Scotty wrote Ernie Els on the face with a Sharpie. He also made notes on the exact specs on the shaft: D-1. 35.25." 2.8 loft. Wow-how often have we see something like this, especially for a 3-time major champion? As a bonus, we also have the "old school" letter of authentication, circa 1999, personally signed by Scotty in addition to the new COA.

Condition is 9 to 9.5-some minor spots of oxidation on this finish, 35.25" long, black flag cover.
